Pastor Lofton Bulley Jr.

This is actually the second revival of True Vine Church Ministry. The original church True Vine Church of God in Christ, was founded in 1978 by Pastor Lofton Bulley Jr. and his wife, Pearl Marie, along with their eight children. What began as a family-led ministry soon grew into a loving community rooted in Faith, Love, and the Word of God.

In 1988, the church experienced a great loss when our Pastor’s beloved wife, Pearl Marie Bulley, was called home to be with the Lord. Even in that season of grief, God continued to order his steps and Pastor Bulley continued to Pastor his church and continued to also be Supt. of Faith District.

A few years later God lead him to close True Vine COGIC and go to Mississippi and other southern states, to assist fellow pastors and ministries in building and strengthening their churches.

Second Coming

After completing his work in the South, God led Pastor back to the North, Michigan, to restart True Vine Church Ministry as we know it today. In the early 1990s, Pastor remarried (Juanita Bulley), marking a new beginning both personally and spiritually. Under renewed leadership, the ministry began to thrive once again — touching lives, restoring faith, and spreading the message of God’s love and redemption.

In 1999, the church endured another heartfelt loss when God called Sis Juanita Bulley home. Through every trial, God’s grace remained constant, giving Pastor with True Vine’s support, the strength and vision to continue leading His people.

Present Day & Vision for the Future

Today, True Vine Church Ministry continues to stand as a living testimony of God’s power to renew, restore, and revive. Under Pastor Bulley’s faithful leadership, and with his current wife Lisa Bulley and an additional 4 children from this union, the ministry is thriving once again — flourishing both spiritually and in fellowship.

We have fully embraced this digital season, reaching hearts and homes around the world through online worship, teaching, and prayer. Though we may no longer gather within the four walls of a physical building, God has enlarged our territory. Through technology, we now connect with believers across states and nations, sharing the Gospel and building real relationships with Christ and one another.

Our mission remains unchanged: to build real relationships with God and His people through real talk, real teaching, and real Personal relationships with Christ Jesus. We are committed to uplifting, empowering, and equipping believers to walk boldly in their purpose… wherever they are.

As we continue to grow, we trust God’s promise that one day, in His perfect timing, True Vine Church Ministry will once again have a brick-and-mortar home. Until that day, we will continue to spread His Word, touch lives, and remind the world that the true church is not defined by walls, but by the presence of God within His people.
